Accommodations in Mati: La-ne’s (A Review)

We opted to stay in downtown Mati instead of beach resorts along Dahican and other resorts in the area because we wanted to be near the plaza for easy access to dining options, convenience stores, the public market and terminals.IMG_8009
This review is short and sweet as it’s not exactly a beach resort. Lane’s met expectations. They had all the necessities and a little bit more. Everything came in pairs: the towel, blanket, mini soap and sachet of shampoo. There’s TV with cable, a fan, air-conditioning and a night lamp. There was a box for hot shower but ours didn’t work. Do ask if there’s hot shower next time before checking in so they’d give you a working one in case they do have it.
Check out time is at 12noon and you will be charged 150pesos every hour extended. The linen was fresh. The room was well kept. It looked and smelled clean. It wasn’t perfectly soundproof but the noise was negligible. The guard and the receptionists were pretty nice. I’m quite satisfied with the service even though they didn’t have anything fancy to offer.
Sadly, what’s next is a tourist trap called Waniban Island. But don’t fret I tried my best not to sound like I am ranting so no heavy feelings there. Aloha!
